Lamaze Cloth Book, Peek-A-Boo Forest

Lamaze Cloth Book, Peek-A-Boo Forest
Customer Reviews Lamaze Cloth Book, Peek-A-Boo Forest My baby is 7 months old and he's learning to sit while trying to grab whatever in front of him and put it in his mouth. I bought this book because I wanted to introduce him to a concept of "book" while at the same time let him play or chew on it. So far, my baby likes this book. He really gets entertained by the different color pages (there are 5 pages), crinkly material and short sentences. Material is really nice, easy to clean - I just toss in the washing machine along w/ all the baby clothes. The thing I like the most about Lamaze is the size; This book is larger than usual cloth book (larger font size as well). So, very nice for clumsy baby hands and developing eyes. At first I thought the book is pretty expensive however after receiving this book in the mail, I think it's worth the price. I even ordered another one of different story.

Lamaze High-Contrast Discovery Shapes Activity Puzzle & Crib Gallery

Lamaze High-Contrast Discovery Shapes Activity Puzzle & Crib Gallery
My baby is 5 months old and since day 1, he has loved this more than any other toy, rattle, anything he could look at and play with. I don't know what his fascination is with this little book, but this was the BEST money ever spent. He can spend 30 minutes just looking at this, pulling at the things that come out, and seeing what happens. it is amazing! This is a must purchase! This goes with him daily to grandma's house (she keeps him while we work). I thought he would get bored with it, but he is now actually pulling the little animals out of their place. He has looked at this since he we got him home from the hospital. We would keep it on the black and white side a lot.

We've had this gallery on the side of my son's crib since he was 4 months old. He would stare at it after waking and keep quiet for up to 15-20 minutes (definitely a rare occurance for him). As he got older and could roll around, he would roll over to it and bat at it. Now, he's almost 10 months old and he consistently plays with this EVERY morning! Usually when I hear him wake up, I check the baby video monitor and he's standing up, playing with this toy. He has a bunch of other soothers and toys attached to his crib, but this one is his absolute favorite. He loves the little round animal attachments, and grabs and bangs them. We have always left it on the black and white side. I thought I might only get a few months of mileage out of this toy, but it looks like its well worth the money! I only wish I had gotten it sooner, I bet he would have loved the contrasting images as a newborn.

Manhattan Toy Winkel

Manhattan Toy Winkel
We received this toy as a gift for our second baby and I wasn't particularly impressed. It seemed big and bulky and I just didn't see a baby play with it and so I went ahead and bought other rattles and teethers. My daughter is now 5 months old, which is a time when their attention span is not the longest as I see with all other toys that we offer her, ....but the Winkel. It is amazing how long she can play with it, grapple and fight with it. She moves it from hand to hand drops it and picks it up. She can do that because of those LOOPS. They are just perfect, thin enough so that she can grasp it, all around the central cube so that if she drops it any way she can pick it. Sometimes she doesn't even see it, but just feels for it and picks it up. The loops are pliable and she hits it often on her face and body as she manipulates it, but it doesn't seem to bother her. This is definitely on my list for gifting!

My 4 month old son would rather pull out his own hair than play with toys... literally. He received his Winkel as a Christmas gift and has been giggling ever since. It can fall on the floor and not break. He can smack himself without injury. It's portable and colorful enough to keep entertained. And the noise...BEAUTIFUL!!! It makes enough noise for him to love it and a little enough noise for me to not resent his gift. I would definitely recommend this to... anyone.
